On one sunny Brooklyn Saturday morning, I found myself eating a variety of ridiculously delicious toasts in the kitchen of one of my favorite people in the world, Sasha Nelson. Even though we studied for the same fashion grad degree at Academy Of Art University, somehow life only brought us together in New York, after Sasha liked my post on Instagram, and I fell in love with her breakfast parfait with Anita’s coconut yogurt.
Sasha is a wellness and lifestyle coach who helps people finds their own definition of balanced life through yoga, dance (ever heard of Breakti?) and whole food, intuitive nutrition. She’s the real deal. And her kitchen creations, from Cranberry Avocado Oats to the perfect greens + eggs brunch served in a heart bowl, are sure to inspire you to step up your cooking game.
We started the morning with foamy, satisfying matcha lattes with a side of matcha biscotti at Matcha Bar, followed by shopping at McCarren Park Greenmarket. Then, we nourished ourselves with Sasha’s signature toasts, and I was lucky to attend Sasha’s yoga class at goodyoga (she’s a multi-talented one!)
Here, Sasha shares recipes of the three toasts that we indulged. They will make not only a perfect quick snack for two, but also serve as a brilliant party bite.
