When the beautiful Jackie of ADailyJoy asked me to create a breakfast recipe to energize chakras, I absolutely loved the idea of bringing two of my favorite things – yoga and superfood breakfasts – together. Since most of my followers know me by my heart-shaped bowl (which will be available for purchase on my website soon) the chakra choice was clear… Anahata! This post was originally written for www.dailyjoy.com.
As Jackie has previously written, “Anahata (Heart) chakra stands for unhurt, unbeaten and unstruck, in other words, complete BLISS.” The heart chakra is related to our ability to love and is a source of compassion. Every chakra has yoga poses, colors, stones, sounds and foods that fuel it. For Heart Chakra, the color is green, which, according to ADailyJoy, contains powerful energies of balance, growth, and life forces.
I want to share with you a recipe that will nourish your heart chakra, and balance its vibrations. Responsible for emotions, the heart charka is fueled by greens. I’m already liking this… Hello, kale! Any green vegetables will work, but my favorites are kale and spinach, as they don’t take away from the taste of my smoothie bowls. Packed with antioxidants, minerals, plant-based protein, fiber, and healthy fat, this raw, vegan and gluten free smoothie bowl is the perfect way to start your day with an open heart and full of energy.
Also, when you prepare your food with love, it infuses the meal with your heart’s vibration, nourishing not just the body, but also the soul. I hope my breakfast recipes become ADailyJoy for you :)
