Back to little important sweet rituals… my ideal morning starts with a meditation followed by a cup of matcha latte and journaling, a little bit of flowy stretchy free movement, and then comes the important decision: am I in the mood for a cold or a warm breakfast? In other words, am I making an açaí bowl or an oatmeal? Sometimes, the answer is crystal clear, and sometimes, no matter how much time I spend eyeing ingredients for both options, with freezer door open and closing, the answer just seems to fall right in the middle.
For those days, I have the Purple Love Oatmeal with Açaí Berry. Combining nourishing warmth of oatmeal with divine purple goodness of açaí berry, it hits every time. Purple Love Açaí Oatmeal Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup rolled oats (optioin: gluten free hot cereal or ancient grain organic oatmeal)
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- pinch sea salt
- 4 opened açaí capsules
- pinch of sea salt
Toppings:
Get creative! Try apple, buckwheat cereal for a seriously delicious crunch, BlendCo superfood skin blend (with goji berries and coconut) for an additional skin glow boost, or raw stone ground cashew butter for a heavenly creaminess.
Directions:
Combine water and oats, let boil, then cook on low heat until water is absorbed. Add almond milk, and cook for a few more minutes until the texture is even. Sprinkle sea salt, mix in acai, and decorate with your choice of toppings. Enjoy!
